Hoegaarden, an extraordinarily refreshing, naturally hazy wheat beer of pleasant straw yellow colour, has been brewed in the village of Hoegaarden, Belgium, since 1445. Five centuries later, its sweet, finely sour and, at the same time, spicy taste, so much different from other lagers, continues to be popular. The taste of traditional ingredients that meet the savour of coriander and orange peel emerges from natural unfiltered fermentation in kegs and bottles.

This semidark lager was brewed in the Staropramen brewery in 1884 for the first time. Today, we pay the greatest care to Granát as well, brewing it from top quality ingredients only. The traditional brewing procedure is based on socalled strewing, during which light and special malts are mixed. This gives the lager its characteristic pomegranate colour, full and gently bitter taste and hop scent.
