This beer with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of Muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma when served at a temperature of 6 to 8 °C (42 to 46 °F).

Its character of a strong beer principally distinguishes this member of the Chimay range. It is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. When served at ambient temperature, its full strength is released and it reveals its richness of both body and soul.

The Achel brewery has been founded in 1850, but onlz in 1998 the monks decided to start the trappist beer production again. First of all, the tested several tzpes, mainly two light beers, and one dark beer, with different levels of alcohol bz volume /from 4 to 6%/. However, the first advanced ,,project,, was brought forward by friar Thomas / a renowned Westmale brewery master brewer, Together with Friar Antoine, formerly a Rochefort brewery worker,in Achel as a retiree. These two men arrived at the idea of the final product, rounding the whole project off, and brining a significant contribution to this tzpe of beers.

A Trappist monastery Tripel "ale". This golden lager is made from three malts by monks in a monastery in Antwerp. It is a typical example of this type of beer, which maintains a harmonious balance between strength and drinkability with a complex taste and aroma. It is distinguished by the fresh fragrance of Žatec hops and the fruity flavour of orange peel with traces of bitter herb flavours as an aftertaste. It makes a wonderful aperitif.

La Trappe blond
Light, cool, higly fermented, foamy beer of a Brigit colour, with a taste perfectly satisfying European taste, which makes it good To drink. This light beer is characterized by usány selected types of hop-plants, giving the beer a bitter-sweet flavour. The light beer is noted for the refreshing, and yet very aromatic scent. It contains 6,5 % of alcohol by volume.
La Trappe Dubbel
Black trappist beer of a red and ruby colour. I tis sweet and aromatic, letting the Prevailing chill and freshness to excel. Dubbel contains 7% of alcohol by volume.
La Trappe Tripel
L&D mixed beer of a bitter-sweet fruit flavour. It contains 8% of alkohol by volume.
La Trappe Quadrupel
Is a queen of our trappist beers, with its 10% of alcohol by volume. Its flavour is round, full, and flattering The tongue bitterly. The bottle carries The vintage year.

This is a typical Trappist "ale", which comes from a Trappist monastery in the province of Luxemburg. After routine hop-boiling, further hops are added to the beer during cold fermentation. The aroma is reminiscent of an open bag of hops. Semi-wild Brettanomyces yeasts give the beer a distinct subtle body and a refreshing tartness as an after effect. It is suitable for genuine connoisseurs and experts.

Our Red is noted for its coppery colour that makes it particularly attractive. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance.

The Rochefort trappist beer is a highly fermented brown beer, brewed and bottled in the Saint-Remy monastery in Rochefort. The relatively limited premises of the brewery allow The monks and their co-operatives to fully control the production process. The domestic character of this beer is usually appreciated mainly bz experienced degustators. This beer is composed solely from natural raw materials; spring water, malt, hops, sugar. The Rochefort trappists produce three special beers; 6 /=7.5%/ , 8 /=9.2%/ and 10 /=11,3%/. These beers have a unique taste, accentuated when served in a specifically shaped glass, with the serving temperature of 12-14° C.
Westmalle Dubbel

Westmalle Dubbel – is a trappist beer of a coppery colour, undergoing the second fermentation in a bottle. The beer is covered bz creamz foam with a malt scent, painting a beautiful lace on the glass. Its taste is rich and complex, fruitz and spicy, long-lasting, leaving a sensation of fresh bitterness in the mouth. This beer of a balanced quality and fineness has a long and dry tail.
